Each and every student at BYU is a member of BYUSA. Their activities, events and programs are all influenced by the ideas and recommendations of students on campus. Its purpose is to serve fellow students by providing them with involvement opportunities that make their campus experience meaningful.
The BYU Center for Conflict Resolution assists in resolving conflicts involving BYU students, and provides training and information on conflict resolution principles and techniques. Services include mediation, arbitration, advice, seminars, workshops, and classes.

BYU Independent Study is an online educational program that offers more than 550 online courses—university, high school, middle school, and free noncredit courses—to students throughout the United States and in over 90 foreign countries. Enrollment is open to anyone, anytime of the year, with a full year to complete most courses.
The Language Certificate Program endorses your completion of advanced coursework and will make a meaningful addition to your resume as you begin your career and/or apply for graduate studies. Even if your foreign language skills aren't necessarily a part of your career plan, they will set you apart in any field.
The advanced language and culture courses are a popular enrollment option for returned missionaries and others of comparable ability. During this course, students are offered the opportunity to take a Challenge Examination whereby they may bypass beginning language classes and earn up to 16 graded credits.
The Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum has exhibits, programs, and events that educate students, children, and community members about a variety of animals. Admission is free.
