GRADUATION PLAN

Planning ahead is one of the best ways to make sure you graduate on time. Each year, you'll create or update a graduation plan that outlines the classes you plan to take each semester or term until graduation and which semester/term you will take each course.

You may use the graduation plan form offered at your major advisement center or at the Multicultural Office.

ANNUAL DUE DATES

  • Seniors: October 1st
  • Junions: November 1st
  • Sophomores: February 1st
  • Freshman: March 1st

How it Works:

  1. Complete your Graduation Plan
Use MyMap to build your graduation plan. Make sure to include Spring and Summer terms.
  2. Meet with your Major Advisor
Once your plan is complete, your academic advisor in your major advising center on campus can sign off on your plan.
  3. Meet with your Multicultural Advisor
Once your major advisor signs off on your plan, bring a copy with you to your meeting with your Multicultural Student Services Advisor. During the meeting, you'll review your plan together to make sure it aligns with your goals and keeps you on track for graduation.

GOOD GRADUATION PLANS ARE:

  • Neat and easy to read
  • Completely filled out from current semester to graduation
  • All credits totaled at the bottom of each semester
  • All three signatures at the bottom
  • Semesters specified at top of each box (ex. F20 for Fall 2020)

THINGS YOU SHOULD NOT DO:

  • Write “elective” or “GE” instead of a specific course
  • Turn in a plan that is messy, scratched out, or unclear
  • Use arrows to rearrange several classes
  • Write your NetID (Use your BYU ID number)
