Personal Bio:

Sehrash is a Multicultural Student Services Advisor for Last Names: G and R. Before coming to Brigham Young University, Sehrash was working as a First Year Counselor at Utah Valley University. Sehrash has been an advisor for 3 years and has been working in Higher Education for 4 years. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at University of Maryland Baltimore County and her graduate degree in Toxicology at Colorado State University. Sehrash is eternally grateful to her parents for focusing on the importance of an education and for their support during her college and graduate years.

Sehrash loves working with students and enjoys the focus on learning, growth and service at BYU. Her goal is to make her students smile as she meets with them. Sehrash is always happy to have a conversation about your academic and career goals, and wants to provide her students with resources that they may need. Sehrash also loves to have conversation about the impact of the gospel and the tender mercies of Heavenly Father in her life as well as the lives of others. If you ask, she will talk about all things Marvel, Bollywood movies, and music.

Sehrash is the youngest of four siblings and the “fun aunt” of two beautiful nieces and a nephew. She loves spending time with her family, cooking, and listening to music. Sehrash was born in Pakistan and has spent most of her life in Maryland; she has always loved the beach but now the mountains have also made a place in her heart. She is a first-generation graduate and strongly believes in providing access to education and resources to all students. She enjoys reading books, writing poetry and dancing.
