Personal Bio:

I was born on the island of Oahu, HI. I am the youngest of 8 children, with 5 sisters and 2 brothers. My Dad worked 3 jobs to keep our family afloat. My mother’s gentle care for all 8 of us came at much personal sacrifice. My upbringing includes living on the Hopi Reservation in Polacca, AZ and then moving to Orem, UT. Some of my fondest memories include raiding all the “goodies” from my grandparent’s pantry, eating “cocoa-crackah” (hot chocolate drink and soda crackers), playing with my siblings, and BBQ’s with the extended family.

I previously worked for Alpine School District as a school counselor. I’m a big advocate for any form of higher education, especially among our multicultural populations. My work also includes creating equity among the various systems that we are apart of including student opportunity, access, and achievement. I enjoy spending time with my wife and 1 year old as well as streaming shows and movies. If you are wanting a decent ping-pong challenge, I’m your man.
