Personal Bio:
Kahea Clark was born on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. He is the youngest of 8 children, with 5 sisters and 2 brothers. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at BYU. His undergrad experience blessed him with great friends, mentors, opportunities, and research which fueled a desire to work with young minds more upstream. This led him to pursue a Master’s of Education in School Counseling at the University of Utah. Kahea has worked in many educational capacities including in the Jr. High and High School sectors of Public Ed, District Leadership, and now works as the Assistant Director of the Multicultural Student Services office at BYU. He also served as President of the Utah Chapter of NAME from 2021-2022.
His career is driven to champion equity, student opportunity, and achievement among underrepresented youth. He considers his student approach through the lens of connection, regulation, and reasoning. He enjoys spending time with his wife & 2 beautiful young children. He thinks that he makes a decent ping-pong challenge.
