My name is Ivan Espinosa, and I’m from Sinaloa, Mexico. I come from a big family with seven siblings, and I’m right in the middle! I’m also the first in my family to attend BYU, which is something I’m really proud of.
Sports have always been a big part of my life—not so much watching them, but definitely playing them. I used to be a competitive swimmer and even held the bi-championship title in the 100-meter butterfly in my state! These days, I’ve shifted my focus to lifting weights, staying active, and spending time with friends. Outside of that, I have a big passion for cooking—I love experimenting in the kitchen!
One of the things I appreciate the most is the MSS office and the way it genuinely cares for every single student. I love being part of this team and working in a place where I feel valued and connected. BYU and the MSS office mean so much to me, and I’m grateful to be here!
