My name is Allie Da Costa, and I am from Brockton, Massachusetts. I was born in Cape Verde, Africa, and raised in Massachusetts. I come from a family of five kids on my dad's side, and I am the middle child. On my mom's side, I have a sister who is 4 years younger than me. My parents are the sweetest and so supportive. I am close with my grandma, who is, along with my mom, such an example in my life.
I love people and learning about how they think. Before I turned 19 years old, I attended Massasoit Community College in the fall of 2020 when COVID-19 impacted everything. I started college fully remote, and it was so much fun.
I served a mission in the California Oakland San Francisco Mission, Spanish-speaking. I speak four languages: English, Portuguese, Cape Verdean dialect- Creole, and Spanish. I learned American Sign Language in college, but I mostly forget it because I have not used it in a while.
In high school, I attended the SOAR program, and I have always wanted to be part of the MSS office. After my mission, I transferred to BYU, studying Psychology, and sought a job in the MSS office.
