My name is Talavao Folaumahina and I’m from Provo Utah. My Mom is from beautiful Vava’u and my Dad is from Ha’akame. He says that Ha’akame is the best, but my cousins who have been there tell me otherwise. I’m majoring in English and minoring in Editing, but please don’t hold my grammar against me. Fun things I like to do is read, write, listen to music, sketch, and watch good movies/tv shows/anime. I believe Halloween is top tier, ice cream is best paired with waffle cones, and slime should be illegal in all countries based on its texture alone. I connect to my culture through storytelling, being with my family and friends, and trying to have faka’apa’apa. All in all, these are just some of the many ways that help me feel most aligned with myself and with God.
