Personal Bio:
I was raised in southern California, spending most of each summer at the beach. After attending college in Idaho, I went to BYU in both Provo and Hawaii. I inevitably fell in love with the Islands and the diversity of people there. After serving a Spanish speaking mission to Bolivia, I eventually returned to Laie. I started graduate school at the University of Hawaii, Manoa campus. I obtained my clinical social work license after graduate school and spent the next 20 years working in child welfare with abused and neglected children. I came to BYU in 2013 and worked as a counselor in the Honor Code Office before joining the Multicultural Office in June.
