Who can come to Connections?

  • 10th grade students and their parents/guardians

·         Students whose description would fall under Brigham Young University’s Enriched Environment Statement (click here to see the complete EES statement). For example students who are from various talents and backgrounds, including:

o        Geographic- including, but not limited to:

§         Rural

§         Inner-city

§         Reservation

o        Educational – including, but not limited to:

§         First-generation college student

§         English Language Learner (ELL)

§         Limited English Proficiency (LEP)

o        Cultural, Ethnic, & Racial- including, but not limited to:

§         American Indian/Alaska Native

§         Asian/Asian-American

§         Black/African-American

§         Hawaiian/Part Hawaiian

§         Hispanic/Latino

§         Pacific Islander

·         At the time of the event, students who register must be nearing the end of their 10th grade year

·         It is not required to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day of Saints

·         All 10th grade students are invited to attend, regardless of geographic location. However, we are not able to pay for any travel, hotel or other expenses.
