MARATHON- UNCF Scholars Program
Marathon and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) have partnered to create the Marathon Oil Corporation/UNCF Corporate Scholars Program. The Program is designed to reduce the financial barriers for minority students with high academic promise and significant financial need; increase the representation of minorities in the chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering, health, environment and safety, geology and geophysics disciplines; and allow Marathon to develop relationships with minority students to increase the Company's entry-level pool of prospective minority employees.
The Corporate Scholars Program provides educational opportunities for African Americans, Asian Pacific Islander Americans, American Indians/Alaska Natives and Hispanic Americans through scholarships of up to $10,000; possible 8- to 10-week summer internships at various Marathon field and office locations across the globe; and transportation and housing stipends of up to $4,000.
Marathon is seeking sophomore applicants majoring in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering, geology, geophysics, global procurement or supply chain management. Senior applicants must have plans to earn a Masters in geology or geophysics.

Multicultural Initiative in the Marine Sciences: Undergraduate Participation (MIMSUP)
MIMSUP
The National Science Foundation-funded MIMSUP program is designed to increase diversity within the next generation of marine scientists. Participants receive intensive training in the marine sciences and in professional opportunities available to those who choose this career path.
Applications are encouraged, in particular, from U.S. citizens belonging to groups currently underrepresented in the marine sciences.

Outpatient Clinic Trainee
his is a temporary, non-benefited position approximately 6 months in duration.
This is a trainee position designed to provide opportunities to Pre-Med students looking to get direct hands on patient experience in order to get into Medical School. Under the supervision of a licensed staff , the Outpatient Clinic Trainee will render basic healthcare to the patient and family/significant other. It will also entail clerical duties as needed to help facilitate patient flow through a clinic.

The intention of the Patient Simulation Learning Center is to provide and educational environment for health sciences students to develop: clinical skills, techniques and application (of physiology/anatomy), that emulate real-life patient care scenarios. Students will have the opportunity to explore various simulation models which includes: development of psychomotor skills, palpable pulses, heart and breath sounds, eye movement etc.

The annual Premedical Women’s Enrichment Program is coming up in about a week. If you have not already signed up, you still have time. It will be held on Saturday, February 2 from 8:30am – 4:00pm.
